Are You Having A Rough Time Designing For A Baby Shower Party? It May Be Tough Finding Solid Festive Decorations
My sister and I planned a baby shower for 1 of our nieces. We made the decision to have it in the fellowship part of the community church due to the fact that it was a large guest list. We had the shower on a Saturday afternoon. We didn't want to get too intricate with the baby shower decorations because we needed to have the entire area cleaned out instantly after the party. We did want to have just a few decorations for baby shower to give the room a celebratory air. There is a bassinet that is passed to each new mother for the baby to sleep in for the first four to six weeks. This cradle was my mother's. We determined that we would use the cradle as the heart of our baby shower party decorations.
The fellowship area has big round tables that seat ten individuals. We moved one table off on its own to be the presents table. We covered this table with a smooth pink table-cloth; our niece has learned she is having a girl. We set the cradle in the middle of the table. We made the decision to use our presents for the baby shower decorations. I had purchased a pink and white baby blanket, which we hung over the side of the cradle. We pinned some rattles and other infant toys to the blanket with diaper pins. We then displayed the little ensembles that my sister had bought. We finished the baby shower decorations for the gift table by putting a big teddy bear into the cradle. It is so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!
For the buffet table we had an array of fresh cut flowers from the local florist. She used soft pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the collection. We determined that no other baby shower party festive decorations needed to be put on this table. We did have pink napkins that we set on this table, together with a cake that was festooned with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket.
We had also ordered a corsage for our niece and 1 for every of the new grandmas to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we would not have to spend a whole lot of time cleaning up baby shower decorations because they would all be sent home as gifts to our niece.
We had a big turn out for the baby shower party. My niece got quite a few very nice presents. She was glad that we had the shower in a space that was not small. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the shower was over the fellowship section was cleaned up and we were going home.
